“Bridging the Gap: Between Culture and Religion” by Alex Dougbowea Tarlue was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2023 at the University of Southern California on April 22-23, 2023. The book depicts the agony and challenges that emerge from the division caused by differences.

The much-anticipated annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2023 was held on April 22–23, 2023. It was attended by nearly 500 authors and hundreds of exhibitors. The festival was launched to connect individuals who read books with those who write them. The range of book genres exhibited at the festival captivated readers of all ages. Alex Dougbowea Tarlue, a native of Liberia, is a building maintenance technician at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Dehconjah, have five children: Prince, Anita, Alex, Kpadehee and Kimasa.Alex’s hobbies include reading and writing, sports, telling stories, photography and travel.

“Bridging the Gap: Between Culture and Religion” by Alex Dougbowea Tarlue introduces us to young Kpadehee, a Muslim from Liberia, setting off on the exciting yet overwhelming journey to the United States. This book follows him on his trip, which many others have done, as well as the common divide between African-Americans and Africans from Africa, as well as the division between Christians and Muslims.
