Life is a dynamic process. There is a great deal of uncertainty. How do we get around this? There are certain facts in life that are more significant than others. The focus of our hope is crucial. How can you handle a string of hardships, challenging challenges, and horrific situations, let alone rebuild your life?

The author of the book, William Aiello, is a retired letter carrier who moved on to other challenges and activities once he was no longer working. Since retirement, he has had two books published, a short story and numerous poems. He is working on a third book.
William is also co-executive director of the Miss Five Boroughs and Miss Queens Scholarship programs, two preliminary pageants in the Miss America System. He is a ventriloquist, and his acts are on Facebook.
When not involved in those activities, he still engages in philately and enjoys horse races, two activities totally unrelated. William believes diving into varied seas makes life exciting.
“This Sheriff Wags His Tail” presents Dean, who is dispirited, unemployed, and feels his life has no direction. Lacking ambition and depending on others, he realizes that he must take charge of his life.
Then a lost Labrador retriever comes into his life. Trying to find both work and the puppy’s owner, Dean now has two goals. First, he finds part-time work, then the dog’s owner. She rewards him by helping him find steady work and a sense of fulfillment.
Together, they begin a relationship. All made possible by a lost dog.
