“A man looks upon a man,
And that is what he sees.
Our Lord will look upon a man
And sees within his heart.”
– an excerpt from the book
Author Reputation Press is honored to publish “Transcribed Rhymes” by David P. Cresap. In this masterpiece, there are poems that follow thoughts or discussions of religious concepts and ideas, personal experiences, and challenges or trials that have affected the author’s attitude. They have shown him wonders that have enhanced his life and understanding. The book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.
The author, David P. Cresap, has been writing by accident, or rather, it was a guided experience, since he truly believes almost nothing happens by accident.
In “Transcribed Rhymes,” he shares a volume of poetry revolving around the trials and experiences of his life. Cresap aims to teach and provide understanding in order to ease the burdens caused by some of life’s uncomfortable situations.
The included poems were written as a result of thoughts, situations, and emotions. Cresap has personally experienced some lessons that taught about life and love, and others grew out of the author’s love of the written word and playing with words, sounds, and patterns. Universal in nature, the works in this anthology solidify the purpose, goals, understanding, and meaning of one’s life on earth.
The author shares this collection to help others understand their unique situations and apply the teachings in the poems to enhance their own lives.
This Anthology is the first in a series that contains “Transcribed Rhymes”. The poems in this collection are Heard Words, not unlike the songwriter who simply writes down the tune he or she hears in his or her mind and the artist who applies paint to the canvas of the picture he or she envisions.
These poems were given and received as a window through which to view and clarify thoughts and moments regarding experiences of life. The subjects are universal in nature in that they are applicable to the vagaries of the lives of the many readers, who are then able to apply the poem’s teachings to their own situations. If applied, this teaching window could become a door.
