“Gen 1” by Richard Pontefract is now available for purchase

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

– an excerpt from the book

Author Reputation Press is delighted to announce the publication of “Gen 1” by Richard Pontefract. This is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ARP website, and other leading online bookstores.

After 30 plus years of dwelling and debating on it all, this is Richard Pontefract’s attempt to logically explain what and why he believes regarding Christianity, having actually read the entire story, front to back, three times.

Richard Pontefract was born into a Christian family. He is currently 53 years old. His mother is very devout but mentally distraught and emotionally unstable to the point of being extremely offensive to anyone and everyone she might meet.

Having been dragged to many churches of various denominations during his youth, the turmoil within the family left him with disdain for his mother and Christianity.

“Gen 1” by Richard Pontefract is a collection of summarized Bible verses with the author’s personal input. The author condensed the plot into a 1 to 4 read for all those who are unable to find the time to actually read the entire Bible.

The author stated that the first time he read the Bible, he was a total non-believer with no preconceived assumptions or views because he never paid attention to anything. The Concordance was the first Bible he studied since it was available at the time; the King James was the second, and the New Revised Standard was the third.

He also mentions that the most major difference in his understanding is that he takes the Bible literally. It meant precisely what it stated to him. Parables are mentioned in the Bible, and metaphors are clearly identifiable, such as when Christ declares, “I am the door.”

He strongly advises that you erase whatever you were taught before reading the Bible. There is much to be said about reading the Scriptures from front to back in the order they were delivered. Begin reading at the beginning and read it in the order that God arranged it.

He considers Romans 9, passages used by believers of predestination theology, a generalization of scripture as it applies to any other religion or all people who do not base their theology on Christ.
