R.L. Porter, the author of “Samantha,” was interviewed by Spotlight TV’s Logan Crawford to discuss the author’s message and inspiration for writing this book.

He appeared in a number of films and television shows, including The Irishman (2019), The First Purge (2018), Teenage Mutant Ninja, 40-Love (2021), and many others.
R. L. Porter grew up in West Texas on this little farm. He is a retired business owner. He currently lives in the mountains northeast of Scottsdale, Arizona. He has written fictional adventure for the last fifteen years as a hobby. Samantha is one of the ten stories for which he has recently decided to pursue publishing agreements.
“Samantha” by R.L. Porter presents the story of Samantha Wheeler. As a teen, Samantha learned how few of life’s choices would be hers, if she did not achieve independence in her thinking, as well as financially, forces worked against her, used her, victimized her. Samantha was forced to retaliate, and found that taste of revenge, although sweet indeed, was horrifying and costly.
She was adopted by her uncle and aunt since her parents were incapable of taking care of her because they were already living their own separate lives. Despite the absence of her biological parents, she was able to feel parental love from her adoptive parents, something her real parents couldn’t provide.
They taught her all she needed to know about life. Samantha cherished and adored them far more than her real parents. She matured into a lovely, self-sufficient woman. An unexpected event disrupted the flow of her life just when things were going well.
Every challenge that enters our lives has a purpose. Every person we encounter is either a blessing or a learning experience. There are some lessons that we need to learn the hard way. On the brighter side, these challenges made us who we are today, making us stronger than yesterday.
