When many people hear the word Christmas, they immediately think of love, warmth, and peace of mind. Some individuals believe that Christmas is more than simply an occasion; it is also an emotion or a person, whether it is their family or a particular someone.

“Finding Christmas at Wheeler Lodge” presents the story of Kate Channing, a successful actress who returns to her hometown, New York City, to launch her scholarship program at the community theater where she began her career. She recalls her mother’s passing and her strained relationship with her father.

Brice, the son of Kate’s father’s best friend, who is also Kate’s childhood friend, develops romantic feelings for her but decides to keep them hidden at first. During their high school years, Brice lets Kate know that he likes her. However, they are unable to discuss it any further.

Mike Kelly, an accomplished pilot, plans to move to Tokyo to seek a fresh start after experiencing a painful breakup that left him emotionally scarred. He packs his bags for his family’s annual gathering at Wheeler’s Lodge. Mike is torn between the comfort of escaping Tokyo and the love and support of his family at Wheeler’s Lodge. The conflict within him intensifies as he wrestles with the decision that will shape the course of his healing journey and his life moving forward.

During a recent Christmas gathering at Kate’s childhood home, Tom, Kate’s father, suggested that Kate and Brice marry. Tom sees Brice as the perfect match for Kate and believes that their union would be a way to preserve the memory of his late friend.

Brice expresses his desire to marry Kate. However, Kate is taken aback and firmly refuses the proposal, asserting that she should have a say in her future and not be bound by expectations.

Kate, Tom, and Brice went to the Wheeler’s Lodge, a charming retreat surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The lodge holds a special place in their family’s history. During their stay at the lodge, Tom tried to talk to Kate about accepting Brice’s proposal.

With the overwhelming events happening in her life, Kate decides to take a walk around the place to have some time to gather her thoughts and emotions. During her walk, a blizzard starts forming, and Kate is caught amid the snowstorm. She seeks shelter and happens upon her great-aunt’s cabin, which appears almost untouched by time.

As she went inside the cabin, she was amazed by the photographs and artifacts displayed inside. After a while, Kate tries to check the situation outside when she notices a figure attempting to escape the blizzard, which happens to be Mike, struggling to find shelter from the snowstorm.

The two spent the entire night sharing each other’s stories. They found comfort in each other during their conversations. As Mike spends time with Kate, he begins questioning his decision and wondering if staying would lead to something more meaningful.

A connection was formed between the two, which they acknowledged. Fate and destiny brought Kate and Mike together. They both found each other’s love and comfort at Wheeler’s Lodge.
