Pastor Conrad De La Torres, Jr., the author, was born in Cuba. His family defected to the United States when he was seven years old. He grew up in the Florida Keys and graduated from Coral Shores High School in 1976.
In 1980, he graduated from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, with a B.A. in Psychology/Physical Education and a minor in History. Pastor Conrad and his wife, Patricia, have two children, Monique Gustafson and Conrad III, and four grandchildren.
He pastors Fusion Church in Homestead, Florida, and travels the country, sharing his testimony about being a smuggler and spending time in prison. Pastor Conrad is a dynamic speaker who communicates effectively with both believers and non-believers of all ages. He challenges and motivates his listeners with the power of God’s Word in a uniquely powerful way.
