Dappled sunlight falling through the mulberry trees found a tableau of suddenly still figures on what had been a busy pedestrian byway. Couples had stopped to listen, their arms around each other. Author Reputation Press is proud to announce the release of “Gershwin’s Last Waltz and Other Stories” by Frank Frost. This is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ARP website, and other leading online bookstores.

Frank Frost is professor emeritus of Ancient Greek History and Archaeology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is also a cook, a working jazz pianist, a former rugby player, and novelist. Frank and his wife, Amanda, split their time between Santa Barbara and Provence, where he is compiling a cookbook.

He wrote several books about ancient Greek history and over fifty scholarly articles. He also worked as an archaeologist in Greece, Turkey, and Italy, both on land and underwater. He was not only able to read about the people he studied but also to see their ancient homes, handle the objects from their daily lives, and see the lands they lived in. These experiences gave his published work greater depth and perspective. His “Greek Society” has been in print for 45 years, through five editions, and still pays royalties.

His novel “Dead Philadelphians” was listed in The Los Angeles Times Book Review among the best fiction of 1999: “Wonderful taut, flexible prose, not a word wasted… a compulsive page-turner.”

“Gershwin’s Last Waltz and Other Stories” by Frank Frost is a compilation of beautifully written short stories. Each story offers heart warming themes, relatable characters, and unique plots that attracts readers.

A henpecked senior citizen who buys his own brothel in the desert.

A master chef becomes very well known.

A school bus full of kids visits the wrong rabbit farm.

An American in Provence decides to steal an olive tree.

In their normal day-to-day lives, ordinary people can create slight detours from the straight and narrow.

Frank Frost is a master of haywire roller-coaster fiction, wherein tales are full of dire and hilarious consequences.
