“From Boiling Water to Master of the Southern European Cuisine: A Travelogue” by Janisa J. Brunstein is a didactic cookbook/travelogue that shares the author’s adventure in Sothern Europe. This book gives readers a taste of the author’s experience in Southern Europe through recipes and images of magical places she had the amazing opportunity to see.
This mouth-watering cookbook was commended by Dan MacIntosh of the Hollywood Book Review, who acknowledges that, “One is left with the impression Brunstein wrote this book for readers who also enjoy cooking, like her. She has included so many different recipes at the end of various chapters. These inclusions are helpful, especially for many of us that can’t afford to travel around the world eating tasty foods. Not all of these recipes are European finds, either. For instance, at the book’s beginning, Brunstein provides directions on how to make some of her favorite Christmas and Valentines Day dishes.”
This masterpiece was also featured in the Los Angeles Times Magazine. It was featured in the Los Angeles Times Calendar September 24, 2023 issue, along with a few of ARP’s books. The said publication is a 14-page Sunday issue that presents different ideas, people, events, and others.
