“The Pie, The Pie, and Oh that Smell!” by Connie Smith was displayed at the 2023 Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse) – Book Gallery

“The Pie, The Pie, and Oh that Smell!” by Connie Smith was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany, on October 18–22, 2023.

The Frankfurter Buchmesse, reportedly known as the world’s largest trade fair for books, opened its doors to participants around the globe celebrating books and their authors. The massive book fair also celebrated its 75th anniversary this year. Slovenia, their guest of honor this year, presented itself as a nation with a rich literary history in addition to being a desirable tourism destination.

It is the best platform for publishers and authors to engage with international audiences and share stories. This year, over 105,000 trade visitors from 130 countries and 110,000 audiences participated in this big event. This year attracted more visitors compared to last year when there were 93,000 trade visitors and 87,000 audiences. Over 2,600 activities were covered by more than 7,000 media professionals during the five days of the exhibition.

Author Reputation Press is dedicated to promoting literary connections between authors and readers. In line with this, ARP displayed several of its remarkable books at the largest book trade fair in the world. The book gallery was even more alluring because of the large variety of genres on exhibit.

“The Pie, The Pie, and Oh that Smell!” was displayed during the much-anticipated annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2023, held on April 22–23, 2023, at the University of Southern California. It was attended by nearly 500 authors and hundreds of exhibitors. The festival was launched to connect individuals who read books with those who write them. The range of book genres exhibited at the festival captivated readers of all ages.

The book was featured in Publisher Weekly Magazine’s August 28, 2023, issue. The publication offers feature articles and news on all aspects of the book business and bestseller lists in a number of categories, but its best-known service is prepublication book reviews, of which it publishes nearly 9,000 per year.

The US Review of Books highly praises this masterpiece and highlights, “Images in the book of the happy family working together to not just make food but also clean up the inevitable mess that follows can make even the hard work look like fun. Children may also want to read the story multiple times to appreciate the upbeat attitude and good message but also to find a hidden chicken in every illustration. This book, with its large illustrations, colorful characters, and warm, inviting tone, not only shows kids how parents need and deserve gratitude for their efforts but also opens up the conversation about children pitching in on tasks that they may take an interest in when they are old enough to handle them.”

This masterpiece is a children’s picture book that teaches children the importance of showing their appreciation for the wonderful things their parents do every day—and the fun of pitching in and helping out! It’s the story of a mother who enjoys baking desserts like pies. Her family enjoys her pastries, but she got tired of making them one day. Her family missed the beautiful smell of her baking after she stopped cooking.

This book is also available in French & Spanish Edition.
