The Frankfurter Buchmesse, reportedly known as the world’s largest trade fair for books, opened its doors to participants around the globe celebrating books and their authors. The massive book fair also celebrated its 75th anniversary this year. Slovenia, their guest of honor this year, presented itself as a nation with a rich literary history in addition to being a desirable tourism destination.
It is the best platform for publishers and authors to engage with international audiences and share stories. This year, over 105,000 trade visitors from 130 countries and 110,000 audiences participated in this big event. This year attracted more visitors compared to last year when there were 93,000 trade visitors and 87,000 audiences. Over 2,600 activities were covered by more than 7,000 media professionals during the five days of the exhibition.
Author Reputation Press is dedicated to promoting literary connections between authors and readers. In line with this, ARP displayed several of its remarkable books at the largest book trade fair in the world. The book gallery was even more alluring because of the large variety of genres on exhibit.
The author, Belinda Troy Cole Schwartz was born in Los Angeles, California, to Don and Alma Troy—a widow who has had three children by birth, two children by marriage, and so far, two granddaughters and one grandson.
Her early school years were spent in a low-income African-American community, and due to the Watts riots, she later transferred to the affluent, mostly Caucasian Los Feliz school district. Having a mixed racial background and seeing existence through two diametrically opposite lenses has guided her toward humanitarian pursuits throughout her life.
Her understanding is that we all share this earth; we must find a way to live peacefully together as we have the same high hopes and shared dreams for our children.
“An Inside View of Negro National League Baseball” is about bringing her dad’s baseball stories to light, bridging history and humor through that personal human connection. Belinda is an artist whose mediums are watercolor, acrylic, and pastel. She teaches yoga to seniors and performs volunteer service with those who struggle with mental illness in Hawaii.
