“Josh and the Skeleton: Christmas Eve Discovery” by Skip Ashworth was displayed at the 2023 Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse) – Book Gallery
“Josh and the Skeleton: Christmas Eve Discovery” by Skip Ashworth was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023 at Frankfurt, Germany, on October 18-22, 2023. This book was highly commended by Mark Heisei of the US Review of Books, highlighting that “Ashworth creates an interesting tale with engaging characters and a nice mix of ghost story, outdoor adventure, and personal development. There are hints of Jack London in the storytelling, and readers familiar with Gary Paulsen’s work will find a home in this book. The writing is clear, and the story is well-paced. At times, there is an over-abundance of descriptors or a slightly awkward analogy, but, overall, the setting and characters are realistically portrayed.”
The Frankfurter Buchmesse is reportedly known as the world’s largest trade fair for books, opened its doors to participants around the globe celebrating books and their authors. The massive book fair also celebrated its 75th anniversary this year. Slovenia, their guest of honor this year, presented itself as a nation with a rich literary history in addition to being a desirable tourism destination.

This year, over 105,000 trade visitors from 130 countries and 110,000 audiences participated in this big event. This year attracted more visitors compared to last year, when there were 93,000 trade visitors and 87,000 audiences.
