“Strawberry: The Pony I’ve Always Dreamed Of” by Jan Shimp was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany, on October 18–22, 2023.
This is the story of Strawberry, a beautiful reddish pony who changes the lives of three children. Strawberry’s life is chronicled in “Strawberry” by Jan Shimp, from the time the author first meets her to her final days.
The Frankfurter Buchmesse, reportedly known as the world’s largest trade fair for books, opened its doors to participants around the globe, celebrating books and their authors. The massive book fair also celebrated its 75th anniversary this year. Slovenia, their guest of honor this year, presented itself as a nation with a rich literary history in addition to being a desirable tourism destination.
It is the best platform for publishers and authors to engage with international audiences and share stories. This year, over 105,000 trade visitors from 130 countries and 110,000 audiences participated in this big event. This year attracted more visitors compared to last year when there were 93,000 trade visitors and 87,000 audiences. Over 2,600 activities were covered by more than 7,000 media professionals during the five days of the exhibition.
Author Reputation Press is dedicated to promoting literary connections between authors and readers. In line with this, ARP displayed several of its remarkable books at the largest book trade fair in the world. The book gallery was even more alluring because of the large variety of genres on exhibit.
From the moment the author, Janet Shimp, meets Strawberry to her pony’s last days, this book chronicles the journey. The author’s children, Erin and Jaclyn, have always loved Strawberry. In return, Strawberry expresses her appreciation by letting the children ride and play with her. The moral of the story is that animals can experience emotions and, if loved and cared for well, will reciprocate those feelings.
The Los Angeles Festival of Books (LATFOB) 2023 held a successful book signing event with author Jan Shimp. The Los Angeles Times held its much-awaited annual Festival of Books on April 22–23, 2023. The Pulitzer Prize-winning Times has been covering Southern California for more than 140 years.
ARP took part in this year’s literary festival as part of its commitment to showcasing a variety of genres to readers. This book signing event allows readers and authors to interact with each other. This is an opportunity for readers to meet and have their books signed by the author. The attendance of some of our wonderful authors for a book signing added to the excitement of the occasion! Bookmarks, merchandise, and other freebies were also given away during the event.
Strawberry has always been a favorite of the author and her kids, Erin and Jaclyn. Strawberry, in turn, shows her gratitude by allowing the kids to ride and play with her. The kids would play with her all the time, and she is also known in the neighborhood and is always ready to play.
As time passed, Strawberry and the children grew older. Those fun play moments are gradually disappearing. The heartwarming moments shared by the children and Strawberry are priceless. Strawberry is not just a pet—she is part of the family.
