“Fools and Children” by Edward T. Frye is now available for purchase

“I am a child of the ‘50s. I lived a childhood that, until relatively recently, I always thought was typical of people my age. I have come to realize that such is not the case. People seem to relate to this or that from my stories, but I find that few seem to have experienced the rich, full, childhood freedoms those of us in small town America have enjoyed. This is my story of that childhood.”

ARPress is honored to announce the release of “Fools and Children” by Edward T. Frye. A funny and moving portrayal of a carefree 1950s youth. An account of two boys’ escapades and mischievous activities, their reckless dashing into risk, and their lessons learned in life. This is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ARP website, and other leading online bookstores.
Edward T. Frye is a native Pennsylvanian. He currently resides in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania with his wife of fifty years. He holds degrees from Lock Haven University, Temple University, and Penn State.
He previously served as a school administrator in three different school districts in Pennsylvania for most of his 32 years in public education. He was previously an Executive Director, Assistant Superintendent, Coordinator of English and Federal Programs, and Director of Community Relations. He has also been a part-time professor at two universities.
Edward has been writing all his adult life. His second novel is “Ticket To Oregon” following his acclaimed autobiography-based “Fools and Children.” He also authored three textbooks used in colleges and high schools.
“Fools and Children” by Edward T. Frye is an unlinking and touching collection of memorable childhood escapades as it chronicles the outlandish and often dangerous exploits of these creative but naïve lads.
Filled with leisurely-told tales, colorful characters, cultural references to the Golden ’50s, and humor, Fools and Children takes Baby Boomers back to their own youthful years. With the freedoms available to these young adventurers in a simpler time and place, their zeal for life is reflective of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.
