Jane Huml, “Summer in Jane’s Garden,” shared what inspired her to write this colorful children’s book in an interview with Benji Cole of CBS Radio.

Jane Huml was born and raised in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She attended public schools and taught in Cleveland and Shoreline, CT. Huml has worked with special needs adults at VISTA in CT. She has three sons, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
“Summer in Jane’s Garden” is a fun, colorful children’s book that talks about a scarecrow named Lisi Anthus that comes to live in Jane’s Garden. Plants that grow there and creatures that come to eat. She is not always happy with the creatures, but she shares them with her neighbors.
