The Los Angeles Times is the country’s biggest metropolitan daily newspaper, with more than 40 million unique latimes.com visitors monthly, a Sunday print readership of 1.6 million, and a combined print and online local weekly viewership of 4.4 million. The Pulitzer Prize-winning Times has been covering Southern California for more than 140 years.
Stephen Finlay Archer was born at the end of WWII in Toronto, Canada. He lives in Northern California with his wife, Kathy. He is a member of Writers Unlimited in California Goldrush Country and the North American and Irish branches of the Historical Novel Society. Prior to his retirement, he was an Aerospace Manager directing large-scale, delivery-in orbit, satellite systems for the U.S. Navy and NASA/NOAA.
“Searchers: The Irish Clans, Book One of the Series” is the first novel in a four-book saga that begins with a travesty at sea necessitating searches for life’s true treasures, both in 1915 Ireland, when the funeral of O’Donovan Rossa affords golden opportunity to fan the flames of revolution, and in America, for transplanted Irish families connected to the world of the Irish Clans.
This historical narrative was displayed by ARP during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023 at Frankfurt, Germany, on October 18-22, 2023. It is reportedly known as the world’s largest trade fair for books. In 2023, over 105,000 trade visitors from 130 countries and 110,000 audiences participated in this big event.
Moreover, this masterpiece was reviewed and highly praised by the Hollywood Book Reviews, acknowledging that “Mr. Stephen Finlay Archer wrote an incredible book for readers who enjoy war stories, politics and history. Amidst the stories, the reader also learns of British oppression of Irish people and the role Germans have played over various periods in history. Drama in Searches; The Irish Clans is in plenty: Drama among family, lovers, political factions, and allies. The action is also immense, with the author centering the main stories on the personal lives and political side of Irish people. The events that happened between 1915 and 1923 became a symbolic part of Irish history.”
