“Niccolo Paganini: Boy Music Genius” by Ilona Nogarr was displayed at the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (LATFOB) – Book Gallery

“Niccolo Paganini: Boy Music Genius” by Ilona Nogarr was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (LATFOB) at the University of Southern California on April 20–21, 2024.

The LATFOB is considered to be one of the world’s most significant literary gatherings. It has been held every year since 1996 with the goal of bringing together the people who create books and the people who love to read them. It is attended by more than 550 authors, celebrities, storytellers, and hundreds of exhibitors.

The Los Angeles Times is the country’s biggest metropolitan daily newspaper, with more than 40 million unique latimes.com visitors monthly, a Sunday print readership of 1.6 million, and a combined print and online local weekly viewership of 4.4 million. The Pulitzer Prize-winning Times has been covering Southern California for more than 140 years.

Author Reputation Press once again showcased some of its amazing books in a wide selection of genres in this year’s LATFOB. This book gallery aims to connect readers and authors by exposing it at an event attended by audiences around the globe.

Ilona Nogarr, was born in Põlva, Estonia. She started ballet training at age seven. She was accepted to Tartu Children’s Music School and majored in violin at age ten. She was also a member of the elementary school mandolin orchestra and choir.

From 1969 to 1970, she studied fashion design and tailoring at Tallinn Fashion House in Tallinn, Estonia. She then studied at Tartu University from 1973 to 1977, majoring in rhythmic gymnastics, which was strongly influenced by the Isadora Duncan style, and graduated with honors.

For Ilona, her biggest accomplishments were producing such big ballet productions as “Nutcracker,” “Snow White,” “An Awakening,” and “Sleeping Beauty.” Also, she feels blessed to have had the opportunity to mold her students into disciplined, focused, responsible, and self-confident personalities, which is helpful in any profession they choose. They will appreciate the arts for the rest of their lives.

She has written and illustrated two children’s books: “Niccolo Paganini: Boy Music Genius” and “Lola And The Apple

“Niccolo Paganini: Boy Music Genius” by Ilona Nogarr tells the life story of the music genius Niccolo Paganini.

The XVIII century city where Niccolo Paganini was born was called Janua. In the present day, the name of the city is Genoa. He started public performances at age 9. Paganini’s first debut was in Milan in the year 1813. He wrote sonatas, caprices, and six violin concertos. Some of the best-known are twenty-four caprices written in 1817 for solo violin.

Paganini also wrote music for the guitar. Well known are his compositions “Fandango Spanolo” (The Spanish Dance); “Duetto Amoroso”; La Campanella”; and “A Minor Caprice #24.” Paganini had a son, Achilles, with the famous singer Antonia Bianchi. Niccolo Paganini died in Nice, France, on May 27, 1840. He was 58 years old.
