Poetry and music originated as primitive means by which humans might explain the world in which they live and see, as well as conjure up alternative realities.
Images and stories have been used throughout history to convey love and faith, but most of us have been taught to convey ideology through the use of ideas like justification, grace, forgiveness, and faith. Poems, on the other hand, penetrate far enough into the human body to reach the fiery core of our souls, where both joy and suffering seek.

Faith Alanna Richardson was the fourth of five children in Jacksonville, Illinois. She received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a master’s degree in public administration. She worked in public service, being a voice for other minority women in the government sector in her community. She wrote persistently throughout her life before passing away.
