“Sunrise: Life After Traumatic Brain Injury” by Kristin Abello was nominated for the 2024 Eric Hoffer Book Award

The US Review of Books recently announced the much-awaited results for the 2024 Eric Hoffer Book Award.

“Sunrise: Life After Traumatic Brain Injury” by Kristin Abello, published by Author Reputation Press, was one of the nominees for the 2024 Eric Hoffer Book Award. In “Sunrise: Life after Traumatic Brain Injury”, the author tells her story of faith, love, hope, and healing from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

This masterpiece was commended by Philip Zozzaro of the US Review of Books, acknowledging that “Abello candidly reflects on her journey over the last two decades as her emotions run through a continual gauntlet, each accomplishment followed by a new challenge. The reader will not only be following on but rooting for her to succeed as the story nears its end. The author’s book is not merely a survival story but also a guide for emotional recovery from a near-death experience. Abello’s words will strike a chord with those who have experienced similar circumstances or know someone who has.”

Eric Hoffer Book Award honors the memory of the great American philosopher Eric Hoffer by highlighting salient writing, as well as the independent spirit of small publishers.
