“Steps to the Father: Walking with God” by Vince Blaize was nominated for the 2024 Eric Hoffer Book Award

The US Review of Books recently announced the much-awaited results for the 2024 Eric Hoffer Book Award.

“Steps to the Father: Walking with God” by Vince Blaize, published by Author Reputation Press, was one of the nominees for the 2024 Eric Hoffer Book Award. It was highly praised by Jennifer Hummer of the US Review of Books, highlighting that “Blaize includes discussion questions at the end of his chapters, rendering his book a perfect teaching tool for those interested in studying Christianity. Eric Hoffer Book Award honors the memory of the great American philosopher Eric Hoffer by highlighting salient writing, as well as the independent spirit of small publishers. Since its establishment, the Hoffer has become one of the largest international book awards for small, academic, and independent presses.

The US Review of Books supports the Eric Hoffer Project by publishing the results of the annual Eric Hoffer Award for Books. The Eric Hoffer Award is judged by a separate panel, under the direction of the Eric Hoffer Project.

Vince Blaize migrated to the United States from the Commonwealth of Dominica in 1989. He lives with his wife, Tania, and their two sons, Matthew and Stephen, in the Garden State of New Jersey.

He pursued his educational passion in Theology and Psychology at Cornerstone University and earned an MA degree in 2004. He obtained additional certifications as a License Clinical Pastoral Counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association. He has mentored, coached, and counseled possibly hundreds of Christians during his service to the body of Christ. He served as a youth pastor for five years at the Abiding Presence in the Bronx, New York.
