AR Press is glad to announce the publication of “Growing Up with Zara, Our Dog Caesar” by Gail E. Brown. This book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARPress website.
The author, Gail E. Brown, is currently a certified K–12 interrelated special education teacher, school social worker K–12, and reading specialist K–12. Her career has also included clinical social work in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has received numerous professional licenses and certifications throughout her career, beginning in 1974. Educationally, she has an ED.S. (education specialist in administration and supervision) from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, and a special education certification in learning disabilities from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia.
Her master’s degree in social service is from Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and her Bachelor of Science degree is from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. Her goal as a children’s author is to reach out via her books to engage children with their character development and socialization skills. Brown’s books are exciting and motivating and leave children with something to think about regarding their lives and/or the lives of their friends. Hopefully, children will also consider their future and strive to reach their highest potential.
She believes that the key to a successful future is to “never give up on your dreams and goals, no matter what your circumstances!”

“Our Dog Caesar”is the second book in the series,”Growing Up With Zara.” While this book shares many fun moments between Caesar, Zara, and her family, this book is a real-life account of death and dying. Caesar’s death affected all of us deeply. Of course, death is a fact of life. We all encounter death and dying in our lives with loved ones, friends, etc., even at very young ages.
During the past few years, with the Corona Virus pandemic, mass shootings, wars, etc., many of us have lost loved ones because of such tragedies. The concept of death is something we all go through. Regardless of our beliefs, this book is an attempt to bring peace and acceptance to anyone regarding the death of a loved one. Hopefully, the contents of the book will offer some comfort and peace for children and adults.
This sentimental book aims to bring comfort, peace, and acceptance to its readers. Containing contents that will highlight the significance of showing all the love that we have to the people we most love.
