“Enrichment of the Self and Soul” by Richard J. Choura is recommended and advertised at American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) page

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) empowers people to choose how they live as they age. More than 100 million Americans are aged fifty and older, and people want their money, health, and happiness to last as long as they do. AARP is a wise friend and fierce defender, focusing on the priorities of older Americans, which creates real possibilities for enhancing the quality of life for all as we age—not just serving our nearly 38 million members—is the mission. At its heart, the work that AARP and its affiliates do can be summed up in just 12 words: “We fight for and equip each individual to live their best life.”

AARP fights for individuals aged 50 and over and their families at the local, state, and national levels. We work on important issues, such as leading efforts to update Social Security and promote other retirement savings efforts to help everyone achieve lifetime financial security; promoting adequate, affordable health care, including prescription drugs and long-term care; and fostering communities with affordable and appropriate housing, as well as supportive community features and options for getting around.

Recent advocacy victories include the passage of family caregiver-support bills in dozens of states and saving residential consumers billions of dollars on utility bills in recent years. AARP is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all as we age. We lead positive social change and deliver value to members through advocacy, service, and information to make things better for society and play a positive role in communities of all kinds. AARP’s public policies serve as the foundation of our work to fight for people 50-plus and help them choose how they live and age.

Author Reputation Press (ARP) and the American Association of Retired Person (AARP) are now working together to support their respective advocacies. ARP has been publishing and marketing books written by dedicated and determined authors who dream of sharing their stories and insightful information that help and guide readers to live life better.

Pacific Book Review commended the author and highlighted that “With his book Enrichment of the Self and Soul, author Richard J. Choura looks at the concept of ‘the self’ from a nearly endless number of different angles. As an introduction, Choura invites readers to enrich themselves and their souls “by joining spiritual thinking and aesthetic vision with the sacred, cultural, and scientific.” With this deeply thought-out book, Choura hits all these points, and then some.”

“Enrichment of the Self and Soul” was also commended by Kat Kennedy of the US Review of Books, acknowledging that “the author brings philosophical, scientific, and religious thought together in this masterfully written work that places the metaphysical in the forefront of thought concerning one’s comprehension of self and soul. The book is easy to comprehend, offering insight into the many aspects of what it means to be human and attain knowledge of self.”

Recently, Richard J. Choura, in partnership with ARP, held a successful book signing event during the much-anticipated 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (LATFOB) at the University of Southern California on April 20–21, 2024. The LATFOB is considered one of the world’s most significant literary gatherings. It has been held every year since 1996 with the goal of bringing together the people who create books and the people who love to read them. It is attended by more than 550 authors, celebrities, storytellers, and hundreds of exhibitors.

Richard was also interviewed by Logan Crawford, an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster and anchor host, and Kate Delaney, an award-winning national media personality who has interviewed over 16,000 people in her twenty-year radio and television career.
