The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) empowers people to choose how they live as they age. More than 100 million Americans are aged fifty and older, and people want their money, health, and happiness to last as long as they do. AARP is a wise friend and fierce defender, focusing on the priorities of older Americans, whichcreates real possibilitiesfor enhancing the quality of life for all as we age—not just serving our nearly 38 million members—is the mission. At its heart, the work that AARP and its affiliates do can be summed up in just 12 words: “We fight for and equip each individual to live their best life.”
AARP fights for individuals aged 50 and over and their families at the local, state, and national levels. We work on important issues, such as leading efforts to update Social Security and promote other retirement savings efforts to help everyone achieve lifetime financial security; promoting adequate, affordable health care, including prescription drugs and long-term care; and fostering communities with affordable and appropriate housing, as well as supportive community features and options for getting around.
Recent advocacy victories include the passage of family caregiver-support bills in dozens of states and saving residential consumers billions of dollars on utility bills in recent years. AARP is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all as we age. We lead positive social change and deliver value to members through advocacy, service, and information to make things better for society and play a positive role in communities of all kinds. AARP’s public policies serve as the foundation of our work to fight for people 50-plus and help them choose how they live and age.
Author Reputation Press (ARP) and the American Association of Retired Person (AARP) are now working together to support their respective advocacies. ARP has been publishing and marketing books written by dedicated and determined authors who dream of sharing their stories and insightful information that helps and guides readers to live life better.

This masterpiece was highly praised by Barbara Bamberger Scott of the US Review of Books, highlighting that “Carfrey, a well-known preacher and teacher, has arranged this poignant yet inspiring account with personal input from Brandon and MarySusan, written at various stages of their harrowing experiences. The family held itself together despite the burden of their grief through an abiding, shared understanding of God’s role in their lives. Accompanying photos of the family gathered around little Danielle add an enheartening touch to their narrative. Several miraculous occurrences bolstered the family’s faith. For example, had she waited only a few more minutes to get help during her baby’s emergence, MarySusan would have died from blood loss. A very diligent and loving nurse kept her comforted and safe during the crisis, and MarySusan undeniably survived a near-death emergency. The family remains strongly bound together in love and hope to offer, through this chronicle, both religious counsel and practical suggestions for those who might be facing a similar catastrophe.”
