Louis Marino talks with Ric Bratton about his book “Santa’s Big White Chicken”

Louis Marino, author of Santa’s Big White Chicken, is the latest author of ARPress to be interviewed by Ric Bratton for This Week in America.

Bratton asks Marino about how he came up with the concept for his book. The author reveals that the book was inspired by an event in his life many years ago when, one Christmas, his stepson gave him a wood carved Santa sitting astride a chicken.

He wondered what the story was behind such an ornament and found nothing about its origin. Later, he wrote this poetry collection in order to satisfy his own curiosity and would then read it to his grandchildren every Christmas until they grew up.

The book was illustrated by his oldest grandson, Louis Lonsway. Together, they have produced a new Christmas legend in the form of the book, published by Author Reputation Press.
