Ted Landkammer is on People of Distinction with Al Cole from CBS Radio to talk about his books

Ted Landkammer

Ted Landkammer, author of children’s books The Poppies on the Hill and Buffy the Butterfly, has made a guesting on popular radio program People of Distinction with Al Cole from CBS Radio. The author has discussed his two books with the seasoned radio broadcaster.

The Poppies on the Hill is the story of Mrs. Brannigan and the children who take care of her: nine-year-old Sarah and her four-year-old brother Joey. Granny Brannigan used to give chocolate cookies to all the boys and girls who pass by her front gate. Sarah and her friends would stop by for the homemade treats. But one day, Mrs. Brannigan is not by her gate for the first time.

Worried, Sarah visits the old woman and then finds out she is not feeling well. She stays for a while to keep Granny Brannigan company. Knowing that Sarah and her family live in a house in front of a large hill, Granny gives her four packets of poppy seeds.

Buffy the Butterfly is the story of an adventurous, fun-loving butterfly named Buffy. The book is inspired by the author’s own granddaughters’ love for butterflies. Ted has told this story many times to five-year-old twins Sophia and Isabella. The girls are always left in awe as they would see butterflies flying over their grandmother’s yard. Now the girls love Buffy so much that when they see any butterfly fly by, they exclaim, “I wonder if that is Buffy!”

The Poppies on the Hill and Buffy the Butterfly will soon be hitting our online bookstore as well as Amazon and Barnes & Noble in the coming weeks.
