“The Swede” by Robert Nichelson awarded the Gold Seal of Excellence
Author Reputation Press is pleased to award the highest level of recognition we can ever grant to our authors: the Gold Seal of Excellence.
Today, R. W. Nichelson’s The Swede has been awarded that badge of excellence, a testament to the book’s enthralling story that contrasts the bliss of young romance with the chaos of a bloody combat.
The book is inspired by real events from the war between Hitler and the Russians as seen through the eyes of Hans Gruber who, along with Sven Eriksson, found a chance to defeat the Russians at the beginning of WWII. The two left their home in Sweden and joined the German Waffen-SS.
They soon found themselves in the thick of war and were later approached secretly by a young Russian soldier who sought refuge from their common enemy, the Communists. Hans’s kind heart was then revealed when he offered to save him and other presumed enemies. When word spread that both Hans and Sven have become fathers, they made daring move as Russia and the Western allies close in on Nazi Germany.
With strong characterization and a straightforward writing style, Nichelson demonstrates rich knowledge in the events that inspired his story as well as weaponry. If you are a fan of historical fiction, this book is highly recommended for reading. The book can be purchased via our online bookstore.
Congratulations, keep up the good work.
