Wilson tells Cole about the idea behind his work. The book’s title should ring a bell for many Jamaicans as it is the same title given to a person with an immeasurable strength.
The story is set in the mid nineteen sixties when a young man named Williams was born. Later in his life, he confronts a bunch of gangsters, mischievous boys, and paranormal elements of nature.
Our protagonist draws his strength from his religious parents and the Bible. He relies on this sole fountain of his energy to survive the concrete jungles of Jamaica, faced with many unimaginable odds and obstacles.
Wilson’s inspiration for the book comes from real-life experiences of his family and friends. Although the book is a fictional work, the author believes the Holy Spirit’s impact on human is not fictional.
