H. Allenger is a U.S.-based author and former military officer who wrote the novels Polyxena and Ahuitzotl.

He then moved to Livington after leaving his school halfway through his 8th grade.
Allenger graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and also earned his Master of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas while stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, courtesy of its overseas extension program.
The author received his higher education from Eastern Washington State College, graduating with BA in Political Science in 1966. Both in 1962 and 1966, he had a draft board looming over him, so he decided to voluntarily join the college’s ROTC program.
