Reading Dystopian Fiction Books: How Can We Survive?

Carl Berryman, author of “2023,” “Divided We Fall,” and “2025”, envisions a future that only a handful of us could have foreseen. These books could be used as a survival guide.

In the book “2023”, the People’s Republic of China explodes outside of its borders. This book presents China’s political, social, and economic rationale, military preparations, and grand strategy for such a disaster.

It discusses the lack of political and military preparations by the West, the consequences for China’s neighbors, and how the world in general, and the United States in particular, will respond.

Events in today’s world make it all possible. The only way to prevent World War III is to plan for it now.

“Divided We Fall” lets the readers ask these questions. What will the citizens of the United States do if tyranny and political correctness become the rule of law? Where are today’s George Washingtons and Benjamin Franklins? Under the cover of political correctness, liberal leftist instructors purposely disregard the oppression of the more socialist government movement. What rights are we willing to give up? Who among our youths is willing to join the military?

Will individual patriots come forward to defend the Constitution as originally established by the Founding Fathers? What happened to today’s George Washingtons and Benjamin Franklins?

Who will abide under the tyranny of political correctness as it comes to be the law of the land at the price of individual opinion, liberty, and justice? Who will be able to resist it? Where will the armed forces, ostensibly under civilian authority and led by the President, stand while politicians concentrate political power in their own hands, disarming the American people to deny them the tools of physical resistance? What price are we willing to pay for our God-given liberties as individuals?

“2025” is a sequel to “2023”, and it opens with the entire world on the verge of a conflict that destabilizes everyone. The Army, Navy, and Air Force’s high commands examine the possibility of a Russian and Chinese strike.

“2025” is a science fiction/thriller novel about survival, battle, treachery, love, and hope. The fundamental theme of the film is greed, and what each country would do to satisfy it. Characters in the United States’ high society decision-makers prioritize their political goals before the safety of the public.
