Benji Cole of CBS Radio interviews Amanda Humes, author of “Rules for Dating a Demon: The Get”, a story of two hearts that beat as one

Amanda Humes, the author of “Rules for Dating a Demon: The Get,” a riveting fantasy story, was interviewed by CBS Radio. People of Distinction host Benji Cole had the opportunity to speak with the author and hear about her motivations for writing the book.

Is it possible that love between two people from different worlds and with different viewpoints may overcome all impediments? Is love capable of bringing two opposing sides together? Is love capable of breaking down barriers and allowing each other’s worlds to coexist in harmony? Or does love tear people and things apart?

“Rules for Dating a Demon: The Get”, a terrific book, is written by Amanda Humes. She lives in Keokuk, a small town in Iowa. In 2016, she received her bachelor’s degree from American Public University. She graduated with the honor roll class of 2016 with a BA in English. She is currently working on her Rules for Dating a Demon series. She wrote Rules for Dating a Demon in 2015 as a part of a class project for American Public University. Fortunately, the author has survived colon cancer. The idea that a cancer survivor intends to provide joy to others—to readers—is undoubtedly a one-of-a-kind, inspiring account.

The story of this book revolves around a demon named Meg and an angel named Len. A hot night put them together. The story is turned into an exciting and interesting one by the night of passion. Two characters that are diametrically opposed end up producing a child. What will the child become—a demon? Angel? Or a hybrid one? Given the circumstances, the parents are concerned about what will transpire. Demons are known for causing chaos, and while they wish to govern it, they don’t want it to be uncontrolled.
