The US Review of Books commended Dr. Gregory Harris’ book, “How I Got Off That Tree Limb” because this book “can truly inspire others to keep pushing and fight for their dreams”

The first book, “Jamie Noraa: The Inspired Dreamer”, and the second book, “How I Got Off That Tree Limb”, were both written by Gregory “Greg” Harris. Greg Harris is well-known in the gospel music scene. With his brand-new song “Ordinary People the Remix,” Greg Harris is blazing a path from obscurity to fame. Greg is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. He was raised in the church and has always made use of his musical abilities by leading the church choir, playing the organ, and singing.

The experience that inspired “How I Got Off That Tree Limb” occurred when the author was 22 years old and a preacher he had worked with in a revival in Little Rock, Arkansas, told him to “Get off that Limb.” He explained that if you wanted to make an apple pie, you would need to get the apples off the tree in order to do so. His early years are recounted in this book. It guides readers through his endeavor to get off of the tree limb. His life has been full of highs and lows, but he has mastered the art of pushing himself ahead. And as of right now, he still strives to improve constantly and strives to have a positive impact on both himself and others.

In this motivational book, the author revisits his life experiences from childhood to adulthood. Although he has never had it easy, he never gave up and has continued to go forward. He has been helped throughout by the Lord’s Word. The author also discusses how his upbringing influenced the type of person he is today. He thinks that effort always reaps rewards. And he has, in fact, had a lot of experience with it.

Amanda Hanson from the US Review of Books commended Dr. Gregory, saying that the author “has always achieved his goals and pursued his dreams. He has never let anyone bring him down. He just keeps on believing in himself and following God’s plans. For example, he taught in school for ten years and decided to become a principal. He had a solid goal on his mind, so he was not going to let anyone prevent him from doing so.”

Here’s an excerpt from the US Review of Books that highlights:

“The author is honest with his audience and does not hold back. For instance, he depicts the scene in which his first wife left him with his children. He candidly expresses the emotions he went through at that particular moment. He eventually forgave her and moved on with his life. Harris’ book can truly inspire others to keep pushing and fight for their dreams. Even though the author has had his inner struggles, he has never given up, thanks to the Almighty. In his journey, he truly believes in the power of having a positive mindset and positive people around him. Harris’ inspiring story can greatly impact those who seek to chase a better life and achieve their goals.”
