At Monte Vista Middle School, where he leads the department, Michael Brumage teaches science. He is actively supporting the Next Generation Science Standards implementation in his district. Author Brumage has been involved with CSET test preparation classes for both elementary and secondary teachers for the past seven (7) years. He graduated from California Polytechnic University in Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences, and The University of La Verne granted him a Master of Education. He, his wife, and their three (3) kids all reside in California.
The protagonist of “Douggie’s Super Science Adventures” is a little boy named Douggie who is insatiably interested in everything and must find the answers to all of his inquiries. The fifteen (15) short stories in “Douggie’s Super Science Adventures” chronicle Douggie’s journey to discover and realize how the world operates.
Using actual challenges that Douggie encounters in his adventures, each short story exposes the reader to a new scientific standard. Each tale immerses the reader in the thoughts of a young boy as he navigates some fascinating scientific questions.
