Bonnie Lou Schreiner

Born in Rochester, New York, Bonnie Lou Schreiner is the mother of three sons, one of whom was a Marine who was killed in Iraq. She enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren and taking walks with her dog, Toby. She was also a graduate of Monroe Community College. She enjoys reading, sewing, quilting, and baking. The first book she’d written was a tribute to her fallen son.

“Toby’s Big Adventure” is a wonderful tale of a dog who lives on a farm with his parents and other puppies he can play with. Every day, visitors come to look for a puppy to adopt. And the day came when Toby was taken away from the other puppies and his parents. Toby has driven away from the farm, afraid to know where his next destination was. And when he arrived, he met Bonnie, his new mama. The book is all about the connection between humans and their pets.

Having a pet like a dog is a great thing as it also brings happiness to humans. Finding one is easy. However, finding a great owner and buddy is beyond great. Like humans, pets do have feelings too. Just like how Toby felt the fear of meeting the new owner, it’s also normal for them to feel that way. Any kind of animal can relate to humans, so it’s better to treat them right to gain a strong bond with them.
