“In the sight of reasoning
I seek the sands of uncanny flow
To rewrite the unwritten
As the darker universe finds light…”
FD Ravenskraft is a storyteller and poet. He explores the darkest corners of the human psyche to expose the madness that resides inside each of us. The depths of lunacy and misery are constantly introduced to readers, leading them into a world between light and darkness. He’s offering the readers nightmares. Some people may reflect on their own personal demons and strategies for overcoming them.
His literary expertise and eloquence are equally as genuine as the Man himself. He’s found a way to embrace the dark and light powers of both reality and unreality. His horror started and will never end.
You’ve arrived at the nightmare sin. Inviting you to the HIMM Universe.
FD Ravenskraft, the author, would like to make an introduction. He is from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He started writing for the first time at the age of nine.
The first and most important transformation in his life was becoming a writer. He started reading Lovecraft and Poe, which helped shape the man he is today. He particularly enjoys writing poems and short stories. Philosophy books are also a result of time passing. Poppy Z. Brite’s poetry and story collections are among his favorites. He also reads Neil Gaiman and Annie Rice.
Over the years, he has become fonder of the poets in his company. Lea Wilkelmen, Julie Lafrance, Leah Negron, and James Eric must also be included in his list of people to be thankful for, for the determination to endure. His life’s journey to becoming a poet is the subject of his tale. He enjoys writing in the murky caverns of the mind and wants people to remember his work long after he is gone.
“The Nightmares of HIMM”, formerly known as “The Psych Ward”. It tells stories of the dark and light of reality. The experience of the truth of how a poet lived his life in fear for most of his childhood life. The poems are the stories of the madness and mayhem within the mind of his. His only comfort was writing to escape the reality of abuse, and these are the curious cases of the madman.
The poems are based on the nightmare of FD Ravenskraft’s sleepless night being afraid of the world. But he understands the true fear of society himself. The constant terror within the insomnia of this broken night after night, he composes the horror of his sleepless experiences and writes them down to try to understand his critical thinking.
His style of poetry is aspired and inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe, and the writings of Charles Baudelaire, Lord Byron, Keats, and Mary Shelley. In the beginning, that was creation. And at the end of the journey is Ravenskraft. Welcome to the horrors of HIMM. He is Madness and Mayhem.
