Eileen McNeil wrote her first story for an Archie comic book when she was 12 years old and won a prize. She worked as a teacher aide for underprivileged children, ages three to four, after completing a course in childcare at Kutztown State College.
She spent many years working at Hess’ Department Store in Allentown, where she wrote poems and anecdotes for the store paper. She’s had some poems published and several stories. She has three adult children and four grandchildren. At present, she lives in Allentown with her eldest son.
“The Other Side: Series of Short Stories” by Eileen McNeal is a series of short stories about ordinary people facing unusual circumstances. Each story is inspired by some event in real life. The stories are varied. These are several stories intended for children also. One story is about a baby swinger. Another is about a fire that isn’t a fire.
