Christopher Travail Gates grew up in rural Georgia, in the small, quaint town of Woodbury. It’s about an hour outside of Atlanta. He began his love for writing at an early age. He’s the oldest of two children.
Christopher has always had talents in reading, writing, drawing, and sports. His adventure for knowledge and his inquisitiveness structure his upbringing. He’s an avid sportsman with a love of basketball, football, baseball, and track and field. His first publication brings his imagination into focus, guiding his reader through a world of infinite possibilities.
“Alexis Sheppard” follows the life of a brilliant young African American woman and how she tries to live up to her father’s legacy by following in his footsteps as a cop. In this story, we find out how Alexis and her mother Catherine deal with the sudden loss of a loving father and husband. In the process of following in her father’s footsteps, she finds inconsistencies surrounding her father’s death.
