“The Helpmate” by Dr. Stephen B. Oladipo is now available for purchase

“The difficulties obviously approached a climax when the poor papa’s death became pronounced. The brilliant sun declined to shine. Paleness bothered the sky. Life in its entirety made no more meanings than the beginning of an end. Wearable surroundings. The lookers-on loitered compassion; it was Papa’s interment. Everyone was not in tears because Papa was dead, but for this boy.”

“His eyes never ceased to shed tears.”

Author Reputation Press is honored to publish “The Helpmate” by Dr. Stephen B. Oladipo. This masterpiece is a well-orchestrated ‘prose-work’ of fiction. Although events in the narratives are mirrored to reflect real-life occurrences, it is a tragic story—a tale of struggles, hardship, fortune, survival, and death. This book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.

“The Helpmate” has fifteen chapters with intriguing starting and ending narratives, which qualify the story as a comical tragedy. It touches on some cultural demeanors of people from certain tribes in Africa (with Nigeria as a focus), where extramarital affairs are silently prevalent despite the legality of engaging in polygamy.

This book muckrakes the evil of broken homes and parental negligence on young adults. The strenuous roles of fending for oneself as a child and taking up the responsibility of an adult in the process of survival are pivotal incidents within the pages.
