Logan Crawford of Spotlight TV interviewed Cheryl Elaine Dowdell, the author of “Forgive Us Our King: Healing for Your Soul”
Cheryl Elaine Dowdell, the author of “Forgive Us Our King: Healing for Your Soul,” was interviewed by Spotlight TV’s Logan Crawford to discuss the author’s message and inspiration for this book.
Logan Crawford is an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster and anchor host. He is also a host and anchor on Ebru, WWOR-TV, FOX, and VOOM: HD NEWS. He appeared in a number of films and television shows, including The Irishman (2019), The First Purge (2018), Teenage Mutant Ninja, 40-Love (2021), and many others.
During the interview, they discuss how important forgiveness is to our lives and how it can bring healing to our souls. There are a lot of people who are hurt and lost in this world. We are all wounded and lost souls trying to continue the journal of life to seek healing without knowing that only forgiveness can heal us.
We only borrow our lives from our Creator, and our time here on earth is only limited. Thus, we should make the most of it. We should forgive those who have hurt us since, after all, we are all sinners. Many of us may intentionally or unintentionally hurt other people, but we shouldn’t hold grudges against them. Instead, we must forgive them. For us to be forgiven for our sins, we must first forgive those who have hurt us.
It is very wonderful to live a life without holding any grudge or hatred against others. Forgiving someone is like being free from the chains of hatred.
In the book “Forgive Us Our King: Healing for Your Soul,” Cheryl came up with the title after completing all the chapters she wanted to talk about. Knowing the reality of the life she had lived and most people in her territory, we need to be forgiven for the sake of our future generations, our children.
It says in the Bible that God feels what we feel. He hurts when we hurt. Even for the souls that have gone on before us, if they did not ask God to forgive them for the things that they have done on this earth, we ask for forgiveness as well.
Forgiveness is very important for everyone if they want to be forgiven. If we do not forgive, we hold animosity in our hearts. Holding animosity will just poison your body, and only forgiveness can heal that animosity. Our job is to love one another in Jesus’ name.
