Author Reputation Press is honored to announce the publication of “Crazy Check” by Tawny Mae Harris. The book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.
Tawny Mae Harris lives in a dangerous hillbilly town called Bum-Zion, Egypt, in the Bible East. Mae was a cheerleader for 5 years, a member of Beta Club, Secretary of Art Club, and Pep Club, and she graduated high school in 1976, the Bicentennial year.
Mae graduated from Zion Egypt Community College in 1981. She worked as a waitress for 7 years, a factory receptionist for a real estate company and a milk company, a janitor, operator, and money dealer clerk for a tracking company, and a cashier for 17 years. Mae is now on home kidney dialysis.
“Crazy Check” is a narrative that has multiple themes: love, religion, depression, and loss of loved ones. The author also shared in this book how praying to God helped her in her current situation.
There are moments in our lives that we feel like giving up due to the amount of emotional stress or damage that we encounter; we just need to pray to God and believe in Him that everything will be fine. Our past has made us tougher, but it doesn’t define who we are.
Mental health is indeed no joke. It feels like there are many voices inside your head saying different things at the same time. Sometimes, silence can be noisy. It affects how we feel, think, and act.
People around us may judge us because of what we did in the past, not knowing the reasons why we did those things. We can never judge a person if we are not in their shoes. Instead of judging a person, why can’t we try to understand them?
The author also mentioned that this book has many names, such as insane, weird, strange, nuts, etc. But she settled on “Crazy Check” as the title.
