CBS Radio’s Benji Cole interviews Tim Selvadurai, the author of “142 Wellington Place”

Tim Selvadurai, the author of “142 Wellington Place,” is interviewed by CBS Radio’s Benji Cole. The interview is about the discussion of the message of the book as well as the author’s purpose for writing this masterpiece.

People of Distinction is one of the most wide-ranging radio shows in the United States, hosted by Benji Cole and Al Cole from CBS Radio. People of Distinction is the right fit for authors and readers to discover newly published books, mostly written by passionate and independent authors.

Benji Cole, the host of the program, is a world-class interviewer, video formulator, Los Angeles actor, and filmmaker. He’s shared the acting stage with superstar Tom Hanks.

“142 Wellington Place” by Tim Selvadurai is acclaimed by Joe Kilgore of the US Review of Books, who underscores that “Author Selvadurai displays a particular talent for capturing storytelling of an unfortunately bygone era. Writing in the first-person view of his protagonist, he realistically peels back the layers of his plot with a pace that neither lunges nor lingers, a style that feels wholly appropriate for the place and period in which it plays out, and a degree of subdued grace that has seemingly been abandoned by most of the current chroniclers of deadly deeds. This novel sports a capital “N” for nostalgia, and readers who appreciate that may well become followers of this artful author.”

Author Tim Selvadurai was born in Ceylon (now called Sri Lanka). He was educated in his own country and in England. Selvadurai worked for twenty-five years at the United Nations with UNESCO, UNDP, and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) at its headquarters in Nairobi. He and his family then immigrated to Canada, where he now resides.

He took a course at the University of New York, where he learned to teach English to immigrants. He has been doing that for a number of years.

In his spare time, he loves reading, particularly mystery novels. This genre interests him due to its suspense, which makes him feel relaxed when he needs to.

“142 Wellington Place” received a prestigious editor’s choice award, which makes the author feel more encouraged. The accomplishments of the book are just the beginning of a long yet inspiring journey for the author. The readers can anticipate a lot more updates and plans for the novel’s success.

This story of immorality, betrayal, and horrific death is set in England a year before the stormy 1960s would bring in a world of radicalism, insurrection, and unceasingly boisterous rock and roll. It unfolds with a high degree of accuracy and commendable amounts of restraint. A philanderer, his close buddy, his resentful wife, prostitutes, cops, blackmailers, housekeepers, and an apparent suicide that might perhaps be a murder are all involved in this story.
