Author David Davila was born in Austin, Texas, and served in the United States Marine Corps for six and a half years. He moved to Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Rosalee, after leaving the Marine Corps, where he worked for the Postal Service and penned his first novel, “Two Souls.” He returned to Austin, Texas, where he worked for the US Postal Service for the final fifteen years of his career.

He was also interviewed by CBS Radio’s Benji Cole in the program People of Distinction. The program is one of the most wide-ranging radio shows in the United States, hosted by Benji Cole and Al Cole from CBS Radio.
