Author Reputation Press is honored to publish “Blackout and Poetry” by Marion Robinson. This masterpiece is a story that may be able to help someone who is on the road to destruction. Can a detour take place? This book is also now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.

The author of the book, Marion Robinson, was born in Harlem Hospital and raised in Hell’s Kitchen. He ran the streets of Harlem, New York, and his public school was in Harlem, also in Hell’s Kitchen. Thanks to his sister for giving him the inspiration to write his story.

He began writing poetry in 1995, and life was hard. Looking back, God has blessed him, and he has seen a lot in his lifetime. He has tried to better his life and helped others along the way. He went to the Manhattan Bible Institute of New York for about a year.

He graduated in 1987 as an evangelist, then moved to Hudson, New York. He joined State Street A.M.E. Zion Church, and under the leadership of his pastor, for about 3 years of studying, he had to travel from Hudson to New York and other churches for his class.

He moved to Poughkeepsie, NY, and joined Smith Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church. He was ordained on June 13, 1998, and under the leadership of his pastor, he learned a lot. He has always dreamed of becoming a writer. This is his first book of poetry, and he prays it won’t be his last. May God bless you, and may it bring you hope.

“Blackout and Poetry” is the author’s story that recounts the challenges he overcame. In his younger days, he loved to party. He had no care in the world. His get-away was New York City, and Philadelphia between the two cities was his playing ground.

Recounting those moments is the backdrop of this masterpiece: a sixty-eight-year-old black man looking back over his life.
