“Love in the Days of COVID-20” by Todd Daley is preparing to hit the big screen by releasing its Hollywood Movie Treatment

A three-act summary of this excellent book has been published in preparation for its movie adaptation. Todd Daley was raised on Staten Island. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree and an MA from CCNY, an MAT from Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD from New York University. He taught science, physics, and mathematics for many years at the high school and college levels.

“Love in the Days of COVID-20” by Todd Daley is a fictional narrative that presents the story of when a virulent form of the Corona virus swept through the world, killing billions of people in 2026. Basic governmental services, such as police, fire, sanitation, and mail, no longer exist, There’s no electricity or telephone service, and no internet. Basically, the world had regressed to 19th-century technology.

To deal with the growing chaos, Hal and Nancy purchase a 22-calibre handgun. Nancy improves her shooting accuracy with practice. During a scuffle at a St. George market, her expertise saves their lives. Hal, on the other hand, believes they’ve made dangerous enemies.

Elm Park has some enjoyable diversions. The crowd is entertained by a red-haired dwarf and his dancing black bear, Bubba. The telegraph has been resurrected, and Hal is hired to carry telegrams by bicycle. Hal, an obsessive notebook keeper, has kept marble journals in which he has chronicled science, history, and philosophy. Hal establishes his “Unstructured School” to instill fundamental information and democratic principles in the neighborhood’s children. 

The book is filled with colorful characters: Freddy, the wide smiler; Hank, the terse talker; Billy and his invisible friend; Blanche, the femme fatale; Jake, the turtle man; Thorpson, the ex-boxer; and Stan Staller, the soapbox preacher.

The narrative emphasizes the importance of community, cooperation, and assisting one another in times of adversity. This reminds us of humanity’s togetherness, especially during the pandemic.
