“Parables for the Purposeful Walk” by Jack Worrill is now available for purchase

“Some are grateful, some critical, some miserable. Some people do fall into misfortune and ruin. Most take their circumstances with them, for better or worse, to the corner where they land.”
– an excerpt from the book
Author Reputation Press is honored to publish “Parables for the Purposeful Walk” by Jack Worrill. This masterpiece follows the tradition of Jack Worrill’s first two books, Parables for Plain People and More Parables for Plain People, offering brief devotional messages for daily encouragement and inspiration. “Parables for the Purposeful Walk” is also now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.
The author of the book, Jack Worrill, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. After he graduated from Georgia Tech, he spent 35 years in the Direct Mail Advertising and Printing business before discovering his skills as a Chair Caning and Furniture Restoration Craftsman. In addition to these professional credentials, Jack spent twenty years as a bi-vocational Minister of Music in several churches in the Metro Atlanta area.
Jack has three married daughters, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Following the passing of his wife Lyn in 2010, Jack responded to what he calls a “Holy Nudge” and in 2012 married Joyce Smith, who was also widowed in 2010. Joyce is the mother of two married sons, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Jack and Joyce currently live in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In “Parables for the Purposeful Walk,” the author goes back to the old Sunday School definition of a parable, which is “an earthly story with a heavenly meaning.” Each of the Parables begins with a current event, a personal experience, or sometimes just a thought that escaped from the back room of his mind. After a period of development, each one ends with a spiritual or inspirational application. At least to his mind, that meets the definition of a Parable. He hopes you can agree.
It was in the metropolitan Atlanta area that the author made his living, raised his own family, carried out his various ministries, and witnessed the events and news items that have served as the basis for his writings.
Since 2012, Jack’s ministry opportunities have expanded to include medical and evangelistic missions to Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Myanmar, and Brazil, as well as several local Mission projects.
Each of these personal experiences has added a new perspective to the concept of walking the Purposeful Walk and contributed to the enrichment of Jack’s observations of the working of God in the everyday lives of those with whom he has come in contact.
The result is a collection of articles composed with the objective of focusing the readers’ attention on the Presence of God in each day’s events, whether personal, local, or worldwide.
Jack’s desire is that these Parables will serve to give encouragement, guidance, and inspiration to each one who engages in a purposeful walk through life.
