“Adam to the Rescue!” by Margaret Allen is now available for purchase
“Will I fall apart as the others before me had fallen apart? I played well at the winter concert, surely, I can do it again! I wonder what would happen to us if I failed too. What would become of the Maple Grove Orchestra?”

Author Reputation Press is delighted to announce the release of “Adam to the Rescue!” by Margaret Allen. This is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ARP website, and other leading online bookstores. Not all superheroes fly over the world; some simply exist within the four walls of the classroom!
Margaret Alen has been playing the piano from an early age and currently gives private lessons in Rockland County, New York. She holds a bachelor’s degree in film production and photography from York University, Canada, as well as a certificate in the Montessori teaching method from the College of New Rochelle, New York, specializing in the three- to six-year-old age group, which she taught in the Pre-K class at St. Ann’s School in Nyack, New York. “Adam to the Rescue!” is her first book.
“Adam to the Rescue!” by Margaret Allen presents the story of Adam Elgin, an eleven-year-old, avid baseball player who has been playing the piano since he was four years old.
In order to participate in a Gala for the Year of the Child Project, his little elementary school will organize an orchestra. They have collaborated with another small elementary school to increase the size of the orchestra. All students interested in joining the orchestra must audition. Adam receives the audition music for the piano from the school’s music teacher and has just a few days to prepare for the audition.
Everyone who plays an instrument aspires to be a member of the orchestra, so they practice, practice, and practice for their audition. However, Adam becomes unwell on the weekend before his scheduled audition on Monday morning and misses it. Two students were picked for the piano, with one serving as an alternative, and practices have begun.
But there’s a lot going on at his school to prepare for the year-end festivities, which take place the last week of school: the winter concert on Tuesday, the play on Wednesday, and the orchestral premiere in a dress rehearsal on Thursday. The school is closed on Friday, and the school has begun a massive campaign to help with the costs of the Year of the Child gala. Teachers and students alike are “stretched to the limit” in these activities.
It is the last day of school before the Christmas vacation and the first dress rehearsal, but at this first dress rehearsal, the two students chosen for the piano fail to perform their best, and the dress rehearsal comes to a screeching halt.
Without a reliable pianist, the gala seems unlikely for these two schools. Can the Principal find a suitable replacement who can play without fear of the crowd and the pressures of performing, someone who can take them to the Gala?
