“Storms” by Maria Fernandez Snitzer was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023 at Frankfurt, Germany, on October 18-22, 2023. This book was commended by Kate Robinson of the US Review of Books, highlighting that “the author, a Louisiana native, writes elegantly of the literal and metaphorical storms that batter the generations in this literary family drama. The story opens as protagonist Elise Charleville Steiner dreams of the calm her maternal grandmother, Lala, always displayed, knowing that life had a way of returning to normal after any storm. The Frankfurter Buchmesse is reportedly known as the world’s largest trade fair for books, opened its doors to participants around the globe celebrating books and their authors. The massive book fair also celebrated its 75th anniversary this year. Slovenia, their guest of honor this year, presented itself as a nation with a rich literary history in addition to being a desirable tourism destination.
It is the best platform for publishers and authors to engage with international audiences and share stories. This year, over 105,000 trade visitors from 130 countries and 110,000 audiences participated in this big event. This year attracted more visitors compared to last year, when there were 93,000 trade visitors and 87,000 audiences. Over 2,600 activities were covered by more than 7,000 media professionals during the five days of the exhibition.
Author Reputation Press is dedicated to promoting literary connections between authors and readers. As the world’s biggest library event and a $5 billion dollar industry with over 120,000 libraries, the conference brings together 25,000 librarians, library staff, educators, authors, publishers, friends of libraries, trustees, special guests, and exhibitors to engage and participate in the ongoing transformation of libraries.
The same masterpiece was also displayed at the 2023 Beijing International Book Fair from June 15–18, 2023. It has become the second-largest book fair in the world, the most influential book exhibition platform in China, and the most international book fair in Asia.
