This charming masterpiece presents the story of Little Mai and her family as they excitedly prepare for Little Mai’s favorite autumn festival. Caroline Steele has been writing since elementary school but has just gotten to publish some of her stories. She has traveled widely, and this has given her many ideas for writing.
This current story was created during her time teaching in China. She currently lives and writes in South Texas.
“Autumn Festival” by Caroline Steele is a children’s book following the story of Little Mai, who has bright, almond-shaped eyes and straight, blue-black hair just touching her ear lobes. As her favorite holiday, Autumn festival, is rapidly approaching, and for the first time, Little Mai has not accompanied her mother to purchase the required moon cake.
She is worried that the cake has not been bought, so she explores the pantry and gets into trouble. Will they be able to happily celebrate the Autumn Festival?
We are reminded of our childhood excitement as we anticipate our much-anticipated holiday through this story that highlights the importance of maintaining family traditions.
