Jason Lulos of the Hollywood Book Reviews commended “Entente: The Irish Clans – The Book Two in the Series” by Stephen Finlay Archer.

“Entente: The Irish Clans, Book Two in the Series” by Stephen Finlay Archer is the second novel of five in the Irish Clans series, following on the heels of Searchers. This saga is set during the Irish Revolutionary Period (1915–1923) in Ireland, continental Europe, and Canada, yet its adventure reaches back into the mists of Irish Gaelic history and mythology. The mysteries of an ancient clan pact deepen beneath the horrors of WWI as Irish rebels march toward revolution.

Author Stephen Finlay Archer was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. His mother, Dorothy, and grandfather, Samuel Finlay, both play important roles in this story. The University of Toronto awarded him a Master of Applied Science degree. He worked as an aircraft engineering manager for 40 years, first in Canada and then largely in the United States.

After his retirement, he joined the Long Ridge Writers Group, where he learned how to write short stories and books. He is a member of the groups California Gold Country Writers Unlimited and Creative Nonfiction Writers.

Here is an excerpt from the review by Jason Lulos of the Hollywood Book Reviews:

Entente is a fascinating read. The author has an incredibly strong grasp of history, seamlessly mixing historical and fictional events and people. It has it all – war, action, romance, political intrigue, and mystery. The author thoughtfully includes historical references, diagrams, and anecdotes at the front and back ends of the novel. These supplement what the reader intuitively gets from anecdotes in the plot itself. The war, the ongoing love story, and the mystery of Morgan’s past provide plenty of intrigue amidst the sweeping context of the war to keep you turning the pages. Entente is book two of a series. Given how captivating you will find this book (especially the cliffhanger), you will definitely want to dive into the other books in the series.”
