Christopher Lee Bowen was born in Manila, Philippines. He served in the United States Army and worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency. He is an avid student of American history.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and his graduate degree from the University of Minnesota. He currently resides in Oakland, California.
Poetry is a collaboration between readers and the author. The author writes about his impressions and understanding of a given subject but relies on the imagination of the reader to share and explore the implications of his words. Although we are separated by time and distance, a spiritual and emotional bond is achieved when the author and reader share the epiphany of a poem.
