Author Spotlight: Gail Borkosky, author of “Annika And The Emperor Penguin”

Gail Borkosky

Gail Borkosky is the author of children’s book Annika And The Emperor Penguin, re-branded and re-published by Author Reputation Press. When she’s not writing, Gail works as a purchasing agent for a paper company based in Georgia.

She currently resides with her husband of over 40 years in a rural community of Western Massachusetts. It is in this same place where she was born and raised.

Gail’s inspiration for writing this book stemmed from the birth of her granddaughter, for whom she hopes to leave a legacy. She is a mother of two grown daughters.

Her hobbies include boating on Lake George, hiking in the Adirondacks, knitting for her granddaughter, and quilting.

Her book follows the story of Annika, an adventurous girl who sets out with her best friend Grace to explore the South Pole. Along the way, they meet Penny, a lost penguin who desperately needs help.

As they try hard to reunite their newfound friend with her family, they stumble upon other occupants of the South Pole in dangerous circumstances. Determined to get Penny home safely, Annika and Grace prove that those who are willing to extend a helping hand receive rewards in the end.
